One of the questions on the previous post got me wondering... Given the scenarios from different Doctor Who adventures, if it had been a different Doctor in that situation, would they have solved it differently?

It seems highly likely. Where most of the Doctors frequently got out of trouble through sheer chutzpah, that wasn't the case with either the first or the fifth.
