Semi-sentient being
Feb. 14th, 2004 06:56 pmIs there a "mood" hotter than "hot"? Like describing a sweat-drenched grease-spot? Because that's what I am. I'm surprised at the time, it feels like it's midafternoon but it's about dinnertime! Gah! How can I eat, I just want to lick icy-poles.
At least I made a start on repainting my barbie's armour. There is newspaper on the bathroom floor; I figured either there or the laundry was best ventilated. And the laundry was too hot and cluttered. Well, I wanted to be able to get at the icy-poles in the freezer in the laundry...
I am so hot!
It is too hot to do anything!
HOT!
Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if
kannaophelia were hotter, considering where she is.
I am dreading tonight. Hot nights are worse than hot days, because one is already drained, and one just CAN"T SLEEP, thus becoming even more tired than one was. I hate that. I'm tired of being tired! Boo! Hiss!

Date: 2004-02-14 06:10 pm (UTC)Unfortunately my good friends aren't close enough to drop in at no notice.
Instead I just moved the pedistal fan into my room, and took a painkiller so that my foot would have no chance of bugging me. It wasn't too bad, though I do feel drained.
My other alternative is to read all night, but it still doesn't help me to be un-tired of course.

That said, I still prefer summer over winter. I love the sunshine and miss it terribly when we don't see it for months on end.

Hmmmm, so yours is as bad as the UK, is it?
I do prefer spring/autumn myself, because the temperatures are nice and in-between. But I was surprised to realize how much sun we actually do get in Melbourne in winter, because even though it does rain a lot, the clouds also break up a lot.

Date: 2004-02-14 07:38 pm (UTC)Here in Auckland, yes, The west coast of NZ gets a high rainfall, and we're on both coasts. Actually, our weather's very changeable like Melbourne's, so some days (like today) we get both rain and sun, often at the same time. Sometimes we get rain for weeks on end though and that thoroughly depresses me. Give me a real winter any day: crisp, cold, and clear.
