I'm taking the changeover a bit more slowly, because I now have the site under a revision control system (subversion) which is suppsed to make it easier to merge changes from branches, so I'm doing the changeover in a branch, and still updating the site on the main part. What I used to have to do when changing over to a new site system was to hunker down for a few months working on the new system and not updating the site at all, which of course was very pressured since one couldn't do a site update until it was all finished. I'm trying to avoid that kind of stress this time. But it also means I'm not going to add new features to the current site, just essential updates.
