WIP Amnesty?

I've seen on a couple of LJ's that there's this "WIP Amnesty Day" but none of them actually explain what it is, except maybe you're supposed to post the sad remnants of WIPs, though whether they're supposed to be WIPs you've given up on, I'm not sure. Then again, I never give up on WIPs, even if I'm being unrealistically optimistic about me getting back to them... maybe that's the purpose of it, a kind of reality check?

Anyway, I think I'll post a list of all my TODO stories, from the ones which just have a bare idea, through to the ones that are well under way, and some of them I might post exerpts from, okay?
I have a TODO list, so I guess I'll just print that, and comment on it. This is in order of priority, more or less.

Very High Priority:
1. My ReduxRemix story, which I realize I can't tell you what it is.

High Priority:
2. And Hades Followed Behind (HL/SG) (Methos amnesia)
This story is for a zine, but I've missed the deadline long ago, and I'm stuck (the two not being unrelated)
3.Stargate/Highlander (Methos ex-host, infiltration)
No title for this one, but I like it. I figured out an origin for Methos' name which is rather nifty, I think. I've written the start, but I've had to revise the plot, and stalled at the rewrite of the last-written scene.

Medium Priority:
4.Frozen Redux (Blair the amnesiac Ancient)
An AU Sentinel/Stargate crossover where the Stargate 6th season episode "Frozen" takes place much earlier, Jim is working for SGC, and an AU Blair takes the role of the amnesiac Ancient (and there's no disease, but other things happen instead)
5.True Dreams#3
Sentinel AU, third in the True Dreams series. I've only got one clear idea for this, but the story's basically stalled because this is also supposed to be a "Murder 101" redux, and redoing episodes which are mostly the same but change some of the events, is very hard to do without either confusing those who haven't seen that episode, or boring those who have.
6.Butterfly Effect #4
Blake's 7 AU where Avon is a telepath. Yes, my page only mentions #1 and #2, that's because I have written #3 but it is so short it needs to go with #4. But #4 is very stuck, because I can't decide how to write it without boring everyone including me. It's an alternative version of "Power" (#3 was the alternative version of "Rescue")
7.Verity sequel
Verity being my Sentinel/Matrix crossover. I'm not sure if this is going to be a short "Jim and Blair encounter Simon" thing, or whether it will be a huge "solve all the problems of The Matrix" thing involving a Stolkholm Syndrome thing with Agent Smith and Naomi. In either case, I can't figure out how it's going to end. And even more, I can't figure whether to try to make it fit with the second and third Matrix movies or not, and if so, how.
8.Verity/Buffy crossover (Season 5 redux)
This one can probably be done independently of #7 -- this crosses the Buffyverse with the Verityverse (which is a Sentinel/Matrix crossover) and is set during Season 5 of Buffy. Problem is, if I'm going to AU the whole season, that will be a lot of writing!
9.Double Identity (Stargate sequel to Double Jeopardy)
I had one idea for this, and started writing it, but after talking with Judith P, the entire idea has been ripped up and I'm not sure what will happen to it.
10.Winning Is The Only Safety #3
Third in my Blake's 7/Highlander PGP series. I do actually have ideas for this, several ideas, and even a scene or two.
11.Identity (Sentinel)
Answer to my own challenge, "What if both Jim and Blair got amnesia at the same time?" I've written the first scene, but that's all. No really good idea of where to go from there.
12.sequel to Falling (Sentinel/Tomorrow People)
Before I can do this, I need to revise "Falling", polish some bits that need polishing. I originally had some very clear ideas about this, but that was before I'd seen all of The Sentinel, and now I've completely changed my mind about Blair needing to come to terms with being a Shaman after "Warriors"; I don't think he needs to. So half the scenes I've written are now useless. There is one scene, though, that I want to keep even if I throw out everything else, and that's the following:

"How do you cope, knowing that you're a freak?" Lisa asked.

"What?" Jim froze, and his gaze was ice. His stillness was that of a predator, a twisted spring, poised for violence. Who are you calling a freak, freak?

Lisa felt herself automatically reaching for the no-space of teleportation. The fight-or-flight instinct in Tomorrow People was heavily biased towards flight. She stopped herself and said, trembling, "But that's what I meant. I'm a freak. How do you cope?"

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"I read Blair's Masters Thesis. I know you're a Sentinel." Her heart pounded in her chest. "I though you would understand. I'm sorry. I really... I'm such a fool. I'm sorry."

13.sequel to "Making A Life" (Sentinel/Stargate)
Nothing written for this, but since I went to all this trouble to get Jim and Blair working at SGHQ, it would be nice to have some adventures, wouldn't it?
14.sequel to "Holding It In" (Sentinel AU Buffyish)
Again, nothing written for this, but want to follow up the ideas of the first story.

15.Butterfly Effect#5
Yes, I actually have some ideas for stuff to happen after the unwritten #4.
16.Mindfield (VR.5/Sandman/Matrix/Stingray)
Ah, this one has been stumped for a long time. But I have some nice scenes.
17."Well-Acquainted With Death" (Highlander/Sandman)
This one is to be a double-songfic, based on the first two songs of Sting's "Brand New Day" album. Though maybe if I gave up the idea of it being a songfic, I could actually write it.
18.Sentinel/Blake's 7 (Jim military, Blair rebel)
I like this idea; it's basically to write a Sentinel parallel universe story, but make the setting the Blake's 7 universe. Haven't written anything for it though.

Very Low Priority:
19.Callista Chan Pel (sequel to Kill The Dead)
For those not familiar with it, "Kill The Dead" is a fantasy novel written by Tanith Lee, in which the two main characters are avatars of Avon and Vila from Blake's 7. My story was going to introduce avatars of Cally and Servalan.
20.The Mendinstone
My one and only original SF/F story, though I think the protagonist in this one was partly based on an AD&D character I played for a while. This was written so long ago I've forgotten most of the context, and what I was planning to do.
21.Que Sera Sera (B7 PGP)
This one is horribly close to being a Mary-Sue, so I probably won't write it. The heroine has a cyberimplant in her head, which Orac took advantage of to give her, basically, the entire series of B7. (rolls eyes)
22.Mission Impossible/Highlander crossover
No title, but I have this dialogue.
23.Doctor Who/Sapphire & Steel crossover (7th Doc, Cafe)
No title, but I have this dialogue.
24.Tomorrow People/Champions (Tricia + Nemesis)
This one has had several aborted starts as I changed the plot, basically because the thing I was most interested in was the idea of Tricia from the Tomorrow People tangling with The Champions.
25. Highlander/Buffy (Methos meets prophecy)
You can tell how long ago I started this when you see that it's set when everyone was still in High School.
26.Sentinel/The Flash (Jim meets android from ep)
One of those nice ideas without a plot.
27.Alien Nation/Highlander (Skikes becomes immortal)
I have a start for this, but nothing much beyond the basic idea.
28.Champions/UFO (Inheritors universe)
This is set in the UFO universe created by Catherine Stewart, where certain people in SHADO have ended up with telepathy. Link this with the coincidence that the same actor who played Craig Sterling in The Champions also played one of the actors employed by Harlington-Straker studios, and you have potential. I even have a bit of a plot, but as it involves the amnesia drug, I'm really unsure about which way around to tell the story -- and I don't know how it ends.
29.Federation (B7/Trek)
This was a crossover I was intending to co-write with someone, but neither of us got very far.
30.Forever Knight/Wanderer (death,redemption)
Some people would probably hate this story, since the basic plot is that Nick gets cured of his vampirism only to find that the complications are incurable, and he dies. He dies at peace, but still...
31.Highlander/Champions (Richard meets Ritchie)
I have a nice scene here, with the premise that Richard from The Champions is an Immortal, but I never got any further. This is set during first season HL but was written about the time of the second season, when we knew Ritchie was immortal, but not his further fate.
32.What Katy Did
This is a blatent self-insertion fic which will never see the light of day.
33.Scarecrow+Mrs King/Highlander
I couldn't even decide which plot I wanted to use for this.
34.Visitor/Tomorrow People/X-Files
The idea is that The Visitor visits Lisa of the Tomorrow People to encourage her to stop denying her abilities, and also that Mulder and Scully are on his trail. However, since I dealt with the theme of Lisa and her denial in "Falling", I have much less motivation to write this one any more.
35.Silence (Sentinel)
This was born out of frustration I was having with an almost-friend who wasn't answering her email, and it never got any further than the first scene. No plot, no resolution.
36.Highlander/Brigadoon
Just an idea -- what if Duncan had visited Brigadoon before it vanished, and then stumbled across it again in the future?
37.Shadow/Highlander (Methos meets Shadow)
I have a start for this, but I don't know which way the plot goes exactly.
38.Stargate + Sand
What if the Stargate folks dialed to the planet of the B7 episode "Sand"?
39.Sentinel/Buffy
I'd like to write such a crossover, but no ideas.
40.Sentinel/Champions
Various different ideas, but no clear ones.
41.Sentinel/Forever Knight
Tried doing this for a Halloween zine, but it wouldn't come together.
42.Sentinel/Highlander (Duncan knows about Sentinels)
I just got tired of seeing crossovers where Methos was the one who knew all about Sentinels, when, considering that we know that Duncan Macleod lived with an Indian tribe, he could well know more about them than Methos. Just an idea, no plot.
43.Mind's Eye (Doctor Who/Darkover)
I have a start, but no plot. Set just after "Snakedance".
44.Timewarped Switchman
I started this when we had a "let's speak Shakespearean" week on Cascade Times, but didn't get very far in translation.
45.Sentinel in Thailand
An idea for Novations, but it didn't gel.
46.The Invisible Time Affair
I wanted a crossover with lots of David McCallum doubles...
47.Sentinel/Crossworlds/Blind Fury
I wanted a crossover with lots of Rutger Hauer doubles...
48.Sentinel/Providence crossover (Jim meets double)
The episode of "Providence" in which Richard Burgi plays an anthropologist is crying out for crossing.
49.Sentinel AU (Blair meets later)
Other people have done this idea, but that won't stop me. I've actually written a few scenes, but broke down when I realized I would have to rethink what Blair's thesis is actually about, and I lost momentum.

I had a wierd dream about Sapphire and Steel, though whether it could ever be turned into a story I don't know.
51.Sentinel Alpha (Sentinel/Space 1999)
After reading Blair Kenedy's Sentinel/Space 1999 insertion crossovers which were dreadful, I figured I could do much better.
52.Sentinel AU (Jim still in military when Blair comes)

53.Sentinel wildman (challenge)
I figured I'd never get around to this, so I issued it as a challenge. Nobody seems to have taken it up, though.
54.Doctor Who/Sentinel
Because it would be fun, particularly with the 8th Doctor.
55.Sentinel/Unbreakable
Idea only.
56.Ten Righteous Men (Sentinel AU)
Inspired by one of Gil Hale's TS AU stories; the theme to be that a bad guy changes his mind because he meets "ten righteous men".
57.Xander-Sue
A revolt against Xander-Sue stories; the idea is to turn it on its head.
58.Sentinel AU (Blair street musician,student,can't speak)
Idea only.
59.Sentinel AU ("Prince Among Men" Blair elvish changeling)
Idea only.
60.Sentinel/Sliders "Blown By The Wind"
Meant to be songfic for "Blown By The Wind", but can't think of a proper plot.
61.Buffy/Highlander (Xander an immortal, goes back in time)
This idea is completely stolen from someone else's series, however I've figured out a way of fixing some of the plot-holes, so I wanna do it myself.
62.Methos and Anakin (HL/Star Wars ep1) stolen from "Saving Grace" by Jadzia
Basically because I don't think the author's going to finish it, and it sparks ideas in me.

I guess, if there are any of these you want me to dust off, well, encouragement is a Good Thing.

Your idea for a Scarecrow/Highlander crossover -- hee!!!

I can't think of a plot for it, either. Not surprisingly. :)

Oh, I could think of the start of a plot -- of two of them, actually. One was that the Agency have a run-in with Amanda, and the other was that Lee dies and becomes immortal, but since he fell off a cliff, most people think he's just dead, and a mourning Amanda reveals they were married. But I don't know what would happen after that.
