Finish-a-thon progress: about 7000 words in the story so far... and now I've just got up to the hard part. I'm probably half way through. I never thought this was going to be short, but I didn't think it was going to be quite this long. C'est la vie. I'm glad to have gotten this far already, got some good stuff done today. Tomorrow will not be productive, as there is going to be peoples coming over to Who-fest on DVDs. Which will be fun.

Yes, but you work a bit differently from me, I think. In my experience, writing's a bit different for everybody.

Really, when I say things like that, I'm not looking for advice, honestly. I just need to complain a bit. That kicks me into gear better than a reward system would. I think that eventually, I just get tired of being nagged by my own brain and have to do something. :)

I know. 'sokay. I often seem to come across somehow as if I'm looking for advice when I'm not. Possibly because I do complain a lot. :)

*sigh* Yeah. Must write mine...I've started, but the structure is giving me fits right at the beginning, so I think I'm just going to have to take Saturday, wall myself in my room, and write out everything my brain can come up with.

Then I can type another draft and mess around with it.

Rewriting really is the most fun part of it all. (aside from squeeish reviews, lol.)

Yeah, I have to keep telling myself "just write, right now, you can fix it up later". Particularly with this one, which is not an easy write. And as I said, the next bit is the hard bit, where I have to convince the audience that pigs can fly. Then again, Terry Pratchett's Swamp Dragons are a little like pigs, if you squint...
