Serendipity
Jan. 15th, 2004 04:06 pmWell, y'see, it's like I decided to treat myself to afternoon tea, y'know. (decides not to tell the rest of this in a Valley Girl voice) I wanted something indulgent, like ice cream. By the time I'd gotten to the ground floor, I remembered that the Gloria Jean place two shops over has some new iced drinks, so I thought I'd try one. Then I remembered I only had $10 in my wallet and I wasn't going to be in town tomorrow, so I'd better stock up on money, so I went into the 7-11 (which is on the ground floor of our building) to get some money out of their ATM, but it wouldn't read my card. So I went across the road to the Commonwealth Bank's ATM, got out some money, and decided that since I was on that side of the road anyway, I might as well check out the Cheesecake Shop. And while I was buying a slice of vanilla cheesecake, a guy there commented on my T-shirt!
(I am wearing my Straker T-shirt, which says "I'll listen to any reasonable arguments... then I'll tell you how it's going to be.")

So that was nice.
Now I'm going to eat my cheesecake.
(And also wonder if I can use logjam from my laptop with the http_proxy environment variable set; will be cool if so)
