I saw this today with my brother D and my youngest niece.
Given that there was a lot that I didn't like in the book, of course I would not-like those same things when they turn up in the movie; I can't really enjoy this movie as much as some of the earlier ones. I deliberately didn't re-read the book before seeing the movie, because I didn't want to spend my time comparing minute details of the book and movie.
But, while watching it, I went along for the ride (though I couldn't resist making the occasional snarky remark to my niece). It was creepy and spooky and pretty and sad and all the Disapparating made my niece jump.
( spoilery ramblings )
Ah, it leaves me feeling sad, and desirous of reading AU fanfic.
