Aunt Kathryn used to be known as the lady with the Tin-Tin books. Now I'm known as the lady with the board games.
This I probably have to consider an improvement, since I get to play the board games with my nieces and nephews, while reading a book is hardly a collaborative experience once one is past reading aloud.

My brother was late, but we managed to get one game of Settlers in; half before tea, half after. Mum and Dad really lashed out with the desserts; I think it was because they thought they wouldn't have enough, so there was more than we could all eat. Well, all of us except my eldest nephew -- he's a teenager, and can eat any amount of anything.

My brother has borrowed my old school copy of the Illiad, because he wants to re-read it before they (we?) go off to see "Troy", which was advertised in the shorts before The Return of the King. I must admit, it looked very big and epic -- it will probably be pretty cool to watch, whether it's true to the story or not.
