Happy New Year
Jan. 1st, 2004 08:52 amWe now get into that strange part of the year where one does a double-take at the year for a while until one gets used to it.
I actually got a decent nights sleep last night -- I gave up celebrating New Years many years ago.
I suppose I'd better do a list of resolutions. Except I don't need a New Year to resolve things and fail to do so. (sigh)
- Stay Off Foot and get better.
- Don't worry/guilt so much.
I wrote a huge long list after this, then I looked at Item 2 and decided to rip up the rest. I already have them on a mental list anyway. I wonder if there exists a perfectionist in this world who doesn't have lots of lists, mental and otherwise.

Yay! This is me, shaking my pom-poms. Yay!

Boo! Hiss! Dump the mental trash.

That person must already be perfect, and therefore doesn't exist. Which implies that we can get nearer to perfection by dumping the lists. ::grin::
On the other hand... if you say don't worry and guilt, and then you guilt, you will feel guilty about guilting (been there, done that). Perhaps it would be more effective to phrase it more positively. What is the opposite of guilt? Forgiveness? How about: 2. Forgive self more often for only being human. I will if you will. {{{hug}}}

Oh yeah, me too.
Okay, watchword is "grace". Grace grace grace grace grace.
Who am I not to forgive me when God does? Who do I think I am huh?
