The voting is over, the results are in, and so now I can reveal the icons I did for Challenge #21 of the
tardis_icons icon challenge community!
Please bear with me while I squee.
SQUEEEEEEEE!

Dalek Inquisition
tardis_icons challenge #21 (screencap challenge)
(want, take, comment, credit)
This came third overall!
It was doing quite well in the "most creative/unique" section, but I had no expectation that it would actually win a place in the "overall" section!
Something else won the "most creative/unique" section, though this came second (3 votes versus 4).
I'm fairly certain I voted for the one that came first overall, I'm glad it did, anyway.
The one that won the "best use of screencap" was one I hadn't really paid attention to, but
it was cleverer than I'd realized, so I'm glad it won that.

Rose: Never give up
tardis_icons challenge #21 (screencap challenge)
(want, take, comment, credit)
This one didn't do well at all, and I'm not surprised. It ended up being too busy and not focused.

9th Doctor: who I am
tardis_icons challenge #21 (open challenge: hello,
goodbye)
(want, take, comment, credit)
Interestingly enough, I'd started this base intending to do something with "Nice to meet you, run for your life!", since the image was taken from that scene, but when I was messing around with brushes, the stars brush got with the star over his eye, and that looked so cool that I just had to do something that tied in with it, and then the "I can feel the Earth turning" bit came to mind. So I did that instead.
Looking at the results, this actually came second in the "most creative/unique" section -- at one point they were tied! Isn't that cool?
Regarding the entries for this part of the challenge, there were less of them (only 9) but I liked all
but 2 of them! So I was fairly bound to be pleased with the results.
Sadly, though, the one I liked best didn't place, and one of the ones I didn't like so much
did -- but I think I actually didn't like that one not because it was bad, but because
it was so shippy...
The one that won this section actually becomes more fitting after one has seen
the Children In Need thing, which I don't think I had when I voted.
Or maybe I did a double-take later. Anyway, there were many great entries.

9th Doctor: Walk in Eternity
This used the same base as one done for tardis_icons challenge #21 (who-I-am above), which I could have left at that, but I couldn't resist this caption, because it was so fitting.
But since this had the same base, I couldn't really show it to the
world, because everyone would therefore know that it was me who had
done the one I entered in the challenge, so it has been concealed
until now.

Rose: Don't Leave
(want, take, comment, credit)
tardis_icons challenge #21 open "hello, goodbye"; in this case it's "goodbye". I spent a lot of time trying to find the right font for this idea to work.
This won the "most creative/unique" section!
4 votes to 3 for my other one in this part of the challenge. So, hey,
cool, I had it wrapped up!
