Foot and Hand
Dec. 19th, 2003 02:52 pmI went shopping on the way back, bought a lot of dried fruit.
Stayed up far too late last night reading "Trading In Danger" by Elizabeth Moon, which is apparently the first in a series. No real surprise that Moon has written yet another military-aspiring character, though this one is forced to resign from the Space Academy and take up her family's trade of space-trader, which makes her an interesting mix of military-minded and trade-minded. Whether that will continue in the next book remains to be seen: considering that the series is called "Vatta's War", I suspect not.
I have decided not to go to the do. Which has resulted in a counter-invitation from Mum & Dad to attend their Tree Trimming Party. Of course my tree is still in pieces in the Spare Ooom, but I can't face that right now.
One thing I have done is set up a "craft" section in my Gallery. Go over and take a look if you want to see one of my hobbies. At the moment it's just filled with beadwork, because I don't need to take photos of that, I can just plonk it on the scanner. Of course what's there is only a small section of what I've done altogether, because most pieces were for gifts, and therefore I don't have them to hand.
