A gratuitous icon

kerravonsenI made another icon, this one is for me. I wanted a Giles of my own.

Bright Shadow another Giles with the "tilted photo" look; I wanted to do one for myself. The orignal image was black + white so I stuck with that colourscheme. I kept on changing the caption... I like this one because it's cryptic and full of double meanings. |

Comparing them both, I think it's because the Giles in yours is leaning to the right, which compensates for the tilt to the left, while in mine, he's already leaning to the left, so he's getting more tilted.

Date: 2005-10-23 12:33 am (UTC)Well, the second box isn't actually skewed, that's an optical illusion -- it is just as centred as the first box, but maybe it looks less centred because it isn't a square. The second box is actually tilted less than the first box (-12 degrees as opposed to -45 degrees), but you're right, it just misses touching the edges. I think the dark-to-light gradient in the background of the second icon probably contributes to the illusion.
But I LOVE the colouring and the picture you chose, also the fonts. Very nice work.
