Well, I've done some more icons, when I should have been doing something else. Oh well.

Doctor + Cally: Time Crossed After I realized I could do icons based on my digital art, I decided to do one based on "Blaze"

Science Fiction I wanted a general SF one, and also something Vorkosigany, so I started looking for LMB covers. This was based on one of the variant covers of "Komarr" -- one of the prettiest I saw. Interestingly enough, this is an example of "Art lies in concealing Art" -- because the original cover wasn't that wide, and I spent time concealing where my bit started and the cover ended.

I should probably do something constructive now.

Random GIMP hint: when you paste in Cally (or anyone else), put her in a new layer and desaturate her color a bit, and fiddle with the hue and contrast settings until all the layers match. It'll make that paste look a lot more natural.

I did; it's just that that Cally was very red, and that Doctor was very blue, and so they were much harder to reconcile. I did better with "Skyward".

Oh, thank you! I was just considering whether I should wipe out all memory and copies in existance of "Time Crossed" because I assumed that redstarrobot's remark above was a negative remark about it.

I like it! I can't see anything wrong with the light levels, personally, but then I don't have a very good technical eye.
