Little bit helping

Well, I've just volunteered to write a story for this Charity Auction raising money for the Hurricane Katrina victims. I think of it as sort of ficathoning in a good cause. The auction isn't operating yet, they're still calling for volunteers. Wanna volunteer?

Date: 2005-09-05 04:37 am (UTC)I must ponder what I could contribute that wouldn't completely kill the rest of the stuff I'm currently working on. Heh.
Oh, and "what fandoms?" is a good point. Perhaps I will email wolfpup and ask her.....

Well, you could say you could only offer something short...

Probably a good idea.

Date: 2005-09-05 05:47 am (UTC)Yeah, I saw that she suggested that one could offer a missing scene/epilogue of the winner's choice. :-) That appeals to me: short, and offering the excuse to rewatch some specific episode (as opposed to doing LOTS more research) of the offered fandom.
I'm still gonna email wolfpup.

Date: 2005-09-05 04:50 pm (UTC)Sarah, I'm only announcing the auction in the S&H and TS fandoms; however, a lot of those folks are involved or are interested in other fandoms, as well. So, I would recommend if you, for example, write in the TS and SG-1 fandom. That in your auction description, you say you would write in either of those two fandoms. And then let the winner choose which fandom they want you to write in. Plus, if you're involved in another fandom, you can certainly spread the word.
So, it looks like it's limited right now (I think she went for my SG-1 suggestion because a LOT of TS fen are also into SG-1) but only because knowledge of the auction itself is limited.
I may have to wander over to my Invisible Man lists and spread the word....
