Some More Tub Preparations

I've been delaying pulverizing the already-frozen tubs because the weather here has taken a turn for the wintry. And the thought of eating ice cream while my toes are cold is not really appealing. But I have made up some more ice-cream bases anyway.
- 250ml strong Sticky Chai Tea
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of Natvia
- 1/2 teaspoon Guar Gum
**Tub 8: Chai Latte
- 200ml strong Sticky Chai Tea (both from the same batch of tea)
- 300ml low fat milk
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of Natvia
- 1/4 teaspoon Guar Gum
Tub 9: Pineapple
- 450g can of pineapple pieces in syrup
- drained the pineapple pieces, put in tub, squished it down
- poured some of the syrup back, to cover the pieces
The rest of the syrup is in a little jar in the fridge, in case I want to use it for something else.
Tub 10: pea and mint!
- cooked-from-frozen baby peas (500ml, minus a spoonful or two)
- strong mint tea, enough to cover the peas (I drank the rest)
- puree the mix
- added most of a punnet of fresh mint
- 2 tablespoons Natvia
- pureed this some more
It is very green. I expect it will create cognitive dissonance when eaten.
So now there are currently five tubs in the freezer, which is the maximum I have. So I shall have to try some ice cream before I make up any more bases. But not when it is so cold! Look, it is currently 13C, in December, which might be warm for some of you, but it happens to be summertime over here! Is is the equivalent, for you Americans out there, for it to be 55F in July. In San Francisco.

Date: 2022-12-15 04:20 am (UTC)It's cold here too, but also very changeable: Saturday was 26, yesterday 23, but other days are chilly. It's hard to plan or know what to wear.

Date: 2022-12-15 08:09 am (UTC)I have no idea if the Chai will turn out lovely or horrible. It might be horrible because I made it too strong. I have high hopes for the pineapple, though. If it works, it will be something very easy to make, and very easy to have ingredients for, since tinned pineapple will keep for a while. I mean, mango sorbet with fresh mango is totally awesome, but very messy to prepare; I always get mango all over my hands when dealing with the centre bit.
Weather? Cardigans will save you! 8-)
But yeah, the cold weather here is bizarre. Top of 17 today. Looks like it's going to gradually warm up, though. According to the Bureau, the high temperatures for the coming week will be: 20, 21, 23, 25, 26 and then 27.
