This week's
b7friday challenge was fulfilling requests, so I did one for
redstarrobot: "Cally and a carnivorous plant on Saurian Major".
This was a little longer than the usual cutoff of 500 words (it was a little over 600) so I've put it up on my fiction page here. Not betaed.

Date: 2005-06-26 11:33 am (UTC)Possibly. That was the way the story came out. Another possibility which was at the back of my mind was that if she'd been stuck there for a long time with nothing but a plant to talk to, it would still be consistent with her using telepathy with Blake.
And I actually preferred this ending to another one which also occurred to me, which was that she became so obsessed with the plant that half the reason why she wanted to blow up the complex was to give it food, but that would really have been AU, because, though Cally might have been suicidal, she wasn't insane...
And oh, BTW, the story has an extraneous hard return in the fourth paragraph.
Yeah, I noticed. Comes of trying to have the same settings for formatting filks and formatting stories. I've tweaked it to fix it for that particular file.

Date: 2005-06-26 10:21 am (UTC)And you can post this to b7friday. I've been over 500 a couple of times; we don't enforce the rules that strictly, you know.
Ah well, it meant that it went up on my fiction page quickly, so it's not a loss.
