Late Breakfast Smoothie
Apr. 27th, 2016 02:06 pmIngredients:
* quick-oats (just poured out from my new container of quick-oats... which ended up being more than what would be in a sachet)
* dried apricots
* apricot jam
* 1 raw egg
* Greek Yoghurt
* maple syrup
* low-fat milk
I'll class this one as a fail. It wasn't inedible, it just wasn't good. A combination of too many oats and the dried apricots meant that the drink... needed to be chewed. It wasn't smooth at all. Oh well.

Date: 2016-04-27 09:42 am (UTC)I think the apricots would probably have to be soaked and stewed in order to make them soft enough.
Tomorrow's breakfast is currently soaking in the fridge.
* oats
* 1 chopped apple
* 1 spoonful molasses
* Greek Yoghurt
* 1 raw egg
* 1 T cinnamon
* low-fat milk
I'm interested to see what the molasses does to the flavour. Mind you, the apple will probably be chewy too, apples don't puree that well. Especially as this one still had the skin on! Oops.
