Craft Post - Completed Stuff
Sep. 27th, 2015 04:23 pmHere are some things I have recently completed.

Letter opener by Kathryn Andersen. Letter-opener finding, handle is Crazy Lace Agate beads.
Yes, you can get letter-opener things and put beads on them. Nice and easy, though I kept on changing my mind about what order to put the beads in, and whether I would need to put washers in to make it tight.

Blue-green scarf by Kathryn Andersen. 100% wool, loom-knit and crochet.
This is the fourth strip made for The Shawl; it was the wrong length compared to the others, so I didn't use it as part of the shawl. So I turned it into a scarf.

Grey Mobius scarf by Kathryn Andersen. Loom-knit and crochet. Cotton + Alpaca blend yarn.
This is the result of my attempt at knitting a Mobius scarf on a mobius loom. It did not work, not really. I had to fix up the join part by crocheting it together afterwards. And then I decided to crochet the edges with a 15mm hook. Not bad, really.
I think I would like to make another version of the loom, though. Not using it for making Mobius scarves, but as a really compact portable loom, I think it would work for that. The existing one would work for that too, but there are some things I would like to tweak about it, hence making another one. But not at the moment. Sometime, though.
