Doing things

Had a lovely dinner out last night for my birthday... and came home and unwisely checked my email; had a message from the Debian txt2html packager; someone reported a bug -- which was indeed a bug -- which I have been fixing today. And being very tired too. (yawn)

Also got caught up in reading a Sentinel story only recently deposited on Cascade Library (review on reviews page); that's been the first one for a while, what with the bunch of Harry Potter and Buffy and other fic I've been reading most recently.

Mind, it's not like I don't have a lot of original fiction to read either. My brother just lent me the latest Tom Clancy last night, Johnathan gave me "The Eyre Affair" for my b'day, I just recently read all Asimov's robot stories, and before that (or was it after that) I dived into "Borders of Infinity" (Lois McMaster Bujold, Vorkosigan short stories). And I had started reading "Freckles" by Gene Stratton-Porter until I got distracted by the Asimov. So maybe I'll go back to that, or maybe I'll read a Tarzan book, or maybe I'll read "Sky Fleets of Atlantis" by Frena Bloomfield, something so old but not old enough to be classic that I can't find anything by that author on Amazon. Darn. I was hoping she'd written more in that series. Or maybe I should re-read some Cordwainer Smith (or indeed, some Terry Dowling, albeit he's a pale imitation).

Or maybe I should just get some sleep. (yawn)

OK, this settles it. You boast both Avon and Peter Wingfield-icons? Enough reason to dig deeper I'd say... :P Greetings from a Finn currently in London, older than Blake's 7 but younger than Star Trek if you will, looking around interests lists for interesting people. You just qualified for the semi-finals. ;)
