The element Nickel in stained-glass style, as if this were a window in a Chapel of Science. The centrepiece is the electron-shell diagram of Nickel, an abstract and beautiful representation of the element.

The Syringol molecule; the aroma of food cooked by smoking. Syringol is smokin'! I started off this one with a fluid art background, but after several attempts, I realised it was better with a simpler, less busy background, so this piece ended up being purely digital.

Waking from a dream, the fantasy melts away, revealing the reality underneath.
The title is because the piece made me think of that effect where movie film melts when it is overheated. Guess I'm showing my age with that!

Roadrunner in a field of toadstools, faster than the eye can see. Or any of your favourite motion-blurred characters: Speedy Gonzales, The Flash, Superman... This one I was playing with smudge-along-a-path, with brush dynamics which made the "brush" get smaller as it went. Bink-bonk, bink-bonk, our Hero bouncing like reflections on glass. Why a field of toadstools? Because they're red and hemispherical and it looked cool.
