kerravonsen: Stone egg on moss: "Art is Life, Life is Art" (art)
From: [personal profile] kerravonsen
I don't know why it's called knitting ribbon, but it's this scratchy gauze-like ribbon, and appears to be traditionally used for crocheting covers on coat-hangers. Usually some horrid pink or blue colour. I don't know why people feel the need to crochet covers on coat-hangers, but there you are. What I find the nylon ribbon best for is (a) stiff bags (as above) and (b) soap savers. The advantage of the nylon for the soap savers is that the scratchyness gives a bit of exfoliation when you use it, and it also dries quicker than cotton.
