I'm doing a bit of a theme this time. You get one guess...
Title: In a Glass, Darkly
Universe: Harry Potter
Author: Tales Of Snape
Size: 32K 12161 words
Tags: Novelette, AU, Post-Voldemort, Drama, Angst, Friendship, SSHG, SSHG2011, Magic Mirror, Manipulative Dumbledore
Characters: Hermione Granger, Severus Snape
Ranking: Very Good
Review: http://www.katspace.org/reviews/netfic/Author/Tales_Of_Snape#Title_InaGlassDarkly
Summary: Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all? Not Severus Snape, that's for sure...
The original prompt for this story was: Post Hogwarts, Hermione acquires a magical mirror for her personal use (why? how? when?). Just one of those things that bugs you in the bathroom in the morning about your looks and all. But hers is not your regular magical mirror. Somehow, what is supposed to look like her reflection, looks like Severus Snape, talks like Severus Snape and acts like one, too.
The author took a prompt that could have been pure comedy, and turned it into something that had me figuratively biting my nails with fear and hope. Very good.
So... what do you think?
