Jaunting pad ready
Nov. 28th, 2004 12:24 pmI have didded another thing! Thanks to beta-reading from
tptigger, I have now finished my entry in the Tomorrow People story Competition, just before the deadline. Whew! I think it is okay; I managed to do a nice short piece concentrating on Lisa.
Hmmm, why is it that I tend to gravitate towards those characters in TP who are not so major, like Trica or Lisa? Maybe because they have more potential? No, but I had to be sympathetic towards them first, otherwise I'd be writing about Kevin...

Date: 2004-11-27 05:34 pm (UTC)Mine is pretty much finished as well. I'm mostly entering just to make sure there is a contest - I don't expect to win, largely because the style of story I write doesn't fit the judging guidelines for this competition. Which is fine - they're perfectly valid guidelines. Just not a good match for me.

Date: 2004-11-27 05:52 pm (UTC)Yeah, I can relate to that: 2000 words isn't enough to get a meaty plot in. It's only enough for one or two scenes. But then again, more than 2000 words I would find very hard to do for a deadline. It always takes longer than one thinks.

Or the Power Rangers muses have an unfair advantage since they know martial arts and stuff. ;)

But if it were the other way around, you'd be saying that the Tomorrow People have an unfair advantage because they have Special Powers... 8-)
