kerravonsenI noticed in the pre-sign-up post for the SSHG exchange that a number of people were feeling daunted about thinking up prompts. Since my problem is the opposite one - I think up too many - I thought I'd put up a helpful post full of prompts that people could use if they wanted (or be inspired by, at least).
A.
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
All the King's horses and all the King's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.
Humpty Dumpty sat on the fence
Humpty Dumpty was very tense
The Queen and her ladies, with patience and glue
Healed Humpty Dumpty all the way through.
The idea is to make this angsty and creepy.
B.
Take a well-known HP fanfic trope and apply it to Snape and Hermione instead of who it usually applies to. For example, Severitus where Hermione is Snape's daughter instead of Harry being his son.
C.
Eileen Snape died before she could tell Severus about the Prince legacy: The Power. The Dark Mark suppressed it. But now that Voldemort is gone, the Power is emerging in Severus, and he has no control over it. He must learn, or die. Will the Gryffindor know-it-all be a hindrance or a help?
D.
The Western. Severus Snape is the mysterious man in black, Hermione Granger is the bookish spinster.
E.
Hermione never stops asking questions. This time she questions something that nobody has ever dared to do: what is the nature of magic? Why are the students of Hogwarts taught to do things in a certain way? In her quest for answers, she discovers a dangerous and horrifying secret. And then she bumps into Severus Snape. An accident, or not? Will he aid her, or does he have a different agenda?
