Back when I did CompSci, the ratio was more like 60:40. Since then CompSci has had a serious image problem and numbers of both male and female students have declined dramatically. Female participation has declined faster though. There was a slight female majority studying Science back then; today it is about 60% female.

I never really had a problem till my last programming job, which drove me out of the corporate world. I'm not sure the management bullying was gender-related or he just hated me, but it may have been. Either way, I couldn't take it.
