Way back when, I bought a barbie, with intent to customize. And I actually did, bought the gold spray paint and undercoat and sprayed, and then did some extra highlights in copper-coloured paint pen... but it wasn't until
cdybedahl pointed out this, that I was reminded again that I hadn't shown the fruits of my labours. So I've been taking photos of her with my digital camera and just put them up in my Photo Gallery. (For some reason, I have it fixed in my brain that she's the "Nordic" princess, when she's officially the "Viking" princess. Maybe my brain just can't cope with calling such a romanticised image a "Viking", and prefers the generalized term "Nordic".)
And it was Calle who also tempted me to look at Amazon's barbies, not just the one he pointed out. So I hereby invite you to drool over:
Odette, Portuguese Princess, Irish Princess, Barbie as Batgirl (with motorcycle), the Faerie Queen, Fabio Ken and Ravishing Barbie and Titania.
I must admit, I'm drooling the most over the Queen of Faerie -- both versions. Unfortunately they don't sell these outside the USA -- wah!!!!
