Date: 2008-07-01 12:40 am (UTC)It really didn't make sense that the TARDIS didn't go with the Earth. I wondered why at the time. Perhaps it was detected and isolated--any technology that could move planets and put them a second out of phase could do that.

As for the regeneration, perhaps the Doctor will die but be recreated from the Hand in the Jar. He'd have to have memories too though; does the TARDIS back them up? :-P
