Oh, and by the way: It's not just the idea that I like. It's the style of the writing, which suits the type of story perfectly, and really gets across the feeling of what it's like to be the cactus. Plus, the descriptions are apropos and enticing. It's like reading a storybook, only the pictures are all in my head. Which I suppose happens to other people a great deal, but hardly ever happens to me. I am now enamored of fine green skin and sharp prickles.
