You know that running-out-of-X-clients problem I mentioned yesterday, that I was having with Ion? Well, it's happened again, this time with wmi. Aiieee!
My first thought is that it's the "status" script, because I only started using it last night, and it's since last night that this trouble has happened. Wheras I've been using wmi for, what, a week? without problems... Especially since this thing gets called in a loop every thirty seconds, that could pile up an awful lot of resources...
(sigh)

Date: 2004-06-01 05:36 am (UTC)(later) I didn't find anything obviously wierd, except that xmms and mozilla-firefox both seem to be chewing up an awful lot of file descriptors. But the total was still less than my ulimit.
Whether I should just change over to rxvt from xterm anyway, since rxvt seems to consume less... well, I suppose it wouldn't hurt.
Changing from zsh to bash feels a bit too drastic.
