Sartorial Jack
Jun. 30th, 2007 04:50 pmFor those of you interested in nitpicky details; to be precise, when we last saw Jack in "Parting of the Ways" was he, or was he not, wearing his all-purpose gizmo on his wrist?
- It's unclear whether Jack was wearing his gizmo at the start of "Bad Wolf"; when he was picked up by the transmat, he was wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt, but while I could see that he had nothing on his left wrist, I couldn't see his right wrist.
- After Jack has blasted the androids and cannibalized them for parts, he's wearing black pants, white shirt and black vest, an outfit he retains for the rest of the adventure. He does appear to be wearing something on his right wrist, and since he remarks a minute later "two hearts, must be the Doctor", it's a reasonable assumption that it's his all-purpose gizmo (since he's used in the past for scanning for things).
- He then hands his gizmo to the Doctor, to help to use for scanning for Rose.
- However, by the time the Ann-Droid zaps Rose, it's back on his wrist.
- When they're arrested and in lock-up, it isn't on his wrist (presumably the guards took it off him).
- When they enter the lift to go to floor 500, it's back on his wrist (gee, a quick-change artist!).
- And it doesn't leave his wrist from then on.
So, the short answer is "yes".
And re-watching BW/PotW makes me miss Nine...
