kerravonsen: Tenth Doctor contemplating a chip. (Doc10)

Oh my goodness!

I was actually taken by surprise by the ending of the episode. But it's certainly plausible enough.
- the Daleks could indeed have developed the technology
- especially if they were parallel Daleks
- and even if they weren't, it would be the ultimate way of hiding out

And you've got to say, to have a Cybermen-versus-the-Daleks fight has got to be one of the ultimate fanboy dreams. Though of course there's no guarantee they'll be fighting each other, they'll be so busy exterminating humanity, both of them...

Okay, let's stand back a bit...

Good:
The almost surreal reaction of the Torchwood folks to the Doctor.

"Does that mean I'm a prisoner?"
"Yes, but we'll make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible."

That the psychic paper didn't work for once.

Mickey's back!

It's interesting that the Void Ship is technology which is apparently beyond the Time Lords.

It's also interesting that the Cybermen have figured a way of cyberization which leaves the recipient still looking like the original human -- have they done anything like that before?

Nice alien planet at the start.
And the Cybermen still look cool.

Bad:
The almost surreal reaction of the Torchwood folks to the Doctor.

How did Mickey actually get there? Oh, I guess they came in at the same time as the "advance guard" Cybermen.

Um, how did the psychic paper affect the door lock?

As we wondered last week, how can Rose be narrating her own death? I guess it's just there for narrative effect.

Wonderings:
If the void ship connected the alt-Cybermen-Earth to this one, does that mean that those Daleks came from the alt-Earth universe? Perhaps the TARDIS landing there weakened the barriers somehow.

I wonder if, since Mickey's back and Rose dies, whether Mickey will become the new companion? That could be good.

Okay, Doctor, how are you going to save the world this time?
