(dangles in front of [livejournal.com profile] astrogirl2) The Doctor Who Multifandom "Choose Your Own Companion" Ficathon!
I'm having so much trouble with Multiverse (and not to mention I haven't written that Zen drabble yet, sorry) that I don't know if I'll sign up for this or not, though it is right up my alley. But I thought I'd mention it.

I really have been trying to cut back a tiny tad with the ficathons, but I am most mightily tempted by this one.

Hey, I just wanted to say how much in debt to you I am for your 'definitions'. Although some of them exist purely in the sci-fi realms, most of them apply to all fandoms and helped me understand exactly what my readers were demanding from me. (I won't even tell you what I believed hurt/comfort was ;). )

One thing made me laugh though, you wrote fanfiction (sometimes a book). Considering the absolute impact that Harry Potter has had on the fandom community, I had to grin at you putting it in brackets ^.^

Thank you again,
~Poppy

Yes, but if you weight up it's impact compared to how long it has been around, it's pretty substantial.

Then again, I was never one to dip my toes into the Sci-fi fandoms, so I suppose if one concentrates on those, you probably don't even notice Harry Potter

Heh, thats true, but I always mentally put things like Star Wars, Star Trek, star gate and the like in a seperate bracket to things like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. They just feel different to me.

I like them all, I just don't regard them as the same things.
