If you give me one or more titles of stories I didn't write (optional: characters or other details) I'll give you a summary of the nonexistent story.

You are the first person I've met that knows the People stories. I've got the books burried amongst my collection somewhere.

And you're right, it is a perfect title for a story about them.

That works for me. Suitably bleak and dark. (I'd like to read it...)

came across a "collected People stories" paperback

Was that The People, no different flesh. That was the one I read when I first started working in libraries in 1972 and grabbed it when it was discarded because of low issues in 1974,some people have no taste. I had to wait 5 years before I got hold of Holding Wonder and I've never tracked down any others in the UK but hopefully they are all in the first one

...I'm totally going to do this with Other People's Fic:

In The Market

The Embodyment of Hope

The Last Place

...and what the hell:

Forrest Gump

Blue Angel

Hotel California

American Woman

(Note - do as few or as many of these as you like)

I know them! I adored them as a teenager.

I was in my 20s when I first discovered them and fell hook line and sinker. I must find my copies and see if they are as good as I remember them.

I've seen that one on Amazon for £85 would you believe so I don't think I will be buying it.

I saw Ingathering on Amazon UK for a reasonable price. I must dig out my books and compare contents to see if it is reasonable for me to buy.

Indeed it is! One of the first fics I read in this fandom, and still one of my favourites. :)

Wow! I really wasn't expecting all of them... good show!

"In The Market"

In a bazzar in the far future, multiple crossover encounters occur.

This sounds uterly fantastic - and it can go so many ways, too!

"The Last Place"

How Methos decided to join the Watchers.

...........OOOooooooooooooooh. GOOD use of that title!!

"Forrest Gump"

"But Buffy, it followed me home," Dawn whined. "Can't I keep it?"

*cries laughing*

"Blue Angel"

An encounter between a child and Zhaan.

...I really, really, really, really, want to read this!

"Hotel California"

Who are the figures dancing in the courtyard? What is the song that whispers through the corridors? It may seem like an ordinary run-down hotel, but Something is trying to break through from beyond. Something that shouldn't be there.
Sapphire and Steel have been assigned.

...I wish I knew this fandom so I could know exactly how cool this is.

"American Woman"

Willow in England.

Hee!
