Metamorphobia (Doctor Who Fic)

I was rewatching "The Fires of Pompeii" when this plot-bunny bit me, as a bunch of things came together in my mind after something the Doctor said. I don't know if it works, and I can't think of a title. But I'm posting it anyway, unbetaed, and going to bed. Suggestions for a title welcomed.
