I like inclusive language. It makes little girls feel they matter too; there's going to be enough other thing to assault their self-esteem. And given how many people I've met who think the only way one can address God is in archaic English because it's so formal and respectful (when 'thee' and 'thou' were actually for friends and family and those very close to you) I'm happy to see it go now it's lost that warm feel the German 'du' still has. I don't see that modern language and poetry have to be exclusive; compare the lovely New Jerusalem to the Good News (a ghastly piece of work devoid of any beauty).

I think the glow-sticks would have looked lovely. :-D
