Make a list of all the characters in your icons. (Although you may have more than one icon of a single character, they only go on the list once.) Alphabetize it. Take the first two people on the list; that's your first pairing. Second two people; second pairing. Etc.
I sorted this by surname (though there are a frightening number of folks here we don't know the surname of). And since I don't do slash, the m + m are all ampersanded. Like AstroGirl, I dare ya to write any of these.
Kerr Avon/Cally Aw! Of course I like this.
Samantha Carter/Doctor #5 Oh, this could be interesting. They're both science geeks, they'd probably get on well.
Jim Ellison & Methos (laughs) Oh, Methos would so drive Jim insane!
Blair Sandburg & Spock Even more fun! Blair would just go on and on, and Spock would be left repeating "but that is not logical, Mr. Sandburg." On the other hand, they could possibly find common ground in consideration of mystical practices.
