The Back-to-Work Blues
Jan. 7th, 2004 07:54 amYesterday was my second day back at work after the Christmas break. Finished up Mistral's cookies. Still working on porting to Linux; yesterday I found out why: it's because Intel's chips are faster than Sun's. Very Interestink.
However in the overall scale of things, yesterday was pretty lousy. At lunchtime I went out to find somewhere to eat, but the places I wanted to were either full or closed or too far away, so I turned back around and got a salad roll at the bakery, but I managed to wrench my leg somehow, and thereafter all walking motions (as distinct from sitting motions) ranged from ouchy to agony and I was so miserable... My leg didn't recover until after I got home (oh and each step from the bus stop was one-step-after-another-you'll-get-home-if-you-keep-walking-don't-stop) and had been sitting with legs stretched out in the Comfy Chair watching National Geographic for about an hour.
Then, as I said, I went to bed early, but kept on waking up, rendering my sleep unrefreshing. (sigh)
