kerravonsen: Fifth Doctor, looking mildly curious (Doc5)
[personal profile] kerravonsen
Can't exactly remember when, a few months back, I made up for myself a Doctor Who-themed playlist selected from music files which were already on my hard drive (a semi-random and eclectic collection). This could probably do for general SF listening, though it has a temporal bent.

"The Time Machine (part 1)" / The Time Machine - Alan Parsons
"Temporalia" / The Time Machine - Alan Parsons
"The Time Machine (part 2)" / The Time Machine - Alan Parsons
"Days Are Numbers (The Traveller)" / Vulture Culture - Alan Parsons Project
"Blown By The Wind" / On Air - Alan Parsons
"Orinoco Flow" / Watermark - Enya
"Some Other Time" / I Robot - Alan Parsons Project
"Tempus Vernum" / A Day Without Rain - Enya
"Metallic Rain" / Gift - Vangelis
"Far Away Places" / Far Away Places - 2nd Chapter of Acts
"Only Time" / A Day Without Rain - Enya
"Far Ago And Long Away" / The Time Machine - Alan Parsons
"Where We Will Be Going" / Power of Ten - Chris De Burgh
"Sirius" / Eye In The Sky - Alan Parsons Project
"Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft" / Klaatu - Klaatu
"Nucleus" / I Robot - Alan Parsons Project
"Your Wildest Dreams" / The Other Side Of Life - Moody Blues
"Anywhere Is" / The Memory of Trees - Enya
"Pax Deorum" / The Memory of Trees - Enya
"Total Eclipse" / I Robot - Alan Parsons Project
"Genesis Ch 1 v 32" / I Robot - Alan Parsons Project
"Time" / The Turn of a Friendly Card - Alan Parsons Project
"Rubber Universe" / The Time Machine - Alan Parsons Project
"It's All Been Done" / Stunt - Barenaked Ladies
"Around The Universe In Eighty Days" / (the second album of the double set) - Klaatu
"Magnetic Fields (part 1)" / Magnetic Fields - Jean Michel Jarre
"Light Up My Room" / Stunt - Barenaked Ladies
"Magnetic Fields (part 4)" / Magnetic Fields - Jean Michel Jarre
"Little Neutrino" / Klaatu - Klaatu
"Storms in Africa" / Watermark - Enya
"Book of Days" / Shepherd Moons - Enya
"Cursum Perficio" / Watermark - Enya
"Pulstar" / Gift - Vangelis
"Voyager" / Pyramid - Alan Parsons Project
"Read My Name" / The Road To Freedom - Chris De Burgh
"I Robot" / I Robot - Alan Parsons Project
"Heaven and Hell (third movement)" / Gift - Vangelis
"China Roses" / The Memory of Trees - Enya

And from this you can realize that I'm rather fond of the Alan Parsons Project and of Enya... 8-)

"Days Are Numbers (The Traveller)"

That one always makes me think of Doctor Who. I'm glad I'm not the only one. :)

"It's All Been Done"

I was half hoping someone would write me a Who story for that one for the BNL lyric wheel thing. :)

Of course, it was nowhere near as technically smooth as the stuff folks are doing nowadays, but I'm still fond of it.

I don't suppose you have it online anywhere? I'd like to see it, technically crude or not.

What did they end up writing for you instead? I forget.

I got an ST:TNG story based on Warren Zevon's "Basket Case."

For the Multi-Fandom lyric wheel, yes. For the BNL lyric wheel, you got J/A angst based on "Call and Answer" by [livejournal.com profile] little_banik_slave I beleive. :)

Oh! Yes. I don't know why I suddenly switched ficathons in my brain in the middle of that conversation. Probably because I was talking to [livejournal.com profile] kerravonsen, and she's associated in my mind with the Multi-fandom one. :)
