Code and Art
Dec. 6th, 2003 12:38 pmI also came across this interesting article about Programmer as (starving) artist to which I contributed a long rant in the comments section. I'd rant some more here, but I said most of what I wanted to say there anyway.
Yesterday, despite staying up far to late the night before looking at Wierd Al's antics, I felt lovely and brain-sharp and ended up spending most of the day working on txt2html, and managed to rip some things out, understand some more things, fix some bugs and add some enhancements. And this morning I did more of that, and actually managed to add something which I felt was pretty urgent but also somewhat difficult, so that is why I am feeling so Accomplished. I will probably release the new version today, but whether I work on it some more while the going is good, we shall see.
Another thing I did yesterday was nice and serendipitous; my sister-in-law dropped by to see if she could borrow, on my brother's behalf, the appendixes of the extended Fellowship of the Ring, and said, "Let me make you a counter-offer," and we arranged that they would all come over and watch the extended version of The Two Towers with me. I am intelligent in these matters -- they brought dinner with them. That was fun.
Since we only got through the first half, I am going over there tonight to watch the second half.
