Hello peoples! I spent a lot of time today rearranging my computer desktop to change the way my social media stuff is organised. Hopefully one of the consequences of this is that I'll stop neglecting y'all on Dreamwidth.
But, on to the proper topic of this post - 2025 Goals for Craft stuff (as distinct from goals for my entire life). I figure that since it's still currently January, I can get away with not having posted this, like, on New Year's Day. Though one advantage is that I've actually completed a few of these goals already, in this month of January! I don't really want to call these "New Year's Resolutions" because that seems too burdensome. But it's fine to make plans, yeah?
Finish the baby blanket for third grand-neifling.(DONE!)- Don't buy any new yarn all year. (FAILED ALREADY) (I shall get up and try again) Don't buy any more new yarn for the rest of the year.
Learn Portuguese Knitting.(DONE! more or less)Learn Combination Knitting.(DONE! I like this better than Portuguese Knitting)- Use up as much of my Chenille yarn as I can.
- Probably blankets and scarves for charity.
- Finish the projects which have deadlines sooner rather than later.
- Deadline before September: Iron Man jewellery and Hulk scarf for Marvel Trumps Hate.
- I've been making prototypes to help me figure out what I'm going to do for the Hulk scarf.
- Christmas presents are "due" at Christmas, but I'd like to get the major making done before September also, since MTH will be taking up my brain-space.
- And of course I haven't figured out what all of them are going to be, though there are a few where I already know what I'll be making.
- I've decided to make fewer Christmas presents this year, too; concentrating on the grand-neiflings now.
- Deadline before September: Iron Man jewellery and Hulk scarf for Marvel Trumps Hate.
- Make stuff that's actually for me.
- another knitted sideways cardigan, this time more lightweight
- a crocheted v-neck summer tunic
- spiral socks
frog and re-do my creamy-brown fluffy blanket (there's a run in it, argh)(DONE!)
- Finish as many of my existing WIPs as I can. I'm not going to say "finish them all", because that would be too much of a burden.
- I've actually finished one of them already! A green scarf.
- Actually do some fluid art, dammit!
That's probably enough to go on with.
