So, I've signed up to Disney+, because Loki. And secondarily because I realised there were quite a few Disney movies that I didn't manage to see in the theatres that I'd quite like to see (such as Frozen II). Plus I also like Nat Geo.

But since I have it, I might as well use it while I have it, because I don't expect I will keep it for that long. So... do any of you have recs for stuff to watch?

Warning, though: I have no intention of watching WandaVision, because I gather it's in the form of a 50s sitcom similar to I Love Lucy, and I'm afraid that sitcoms hit my embarrassment squick really hard and it would be torment for me to watch it. So I won't be watching it.

But apart from that, any recs? Any particularly good Nat Geo documentaries? SFF series that aren't crap? Don't assume I've seen them already, I'm pretty bad at keeping up with stuff.

We signed up a couple of days ago so Russet can get through Mandalorian before ConStrict, I expect WandaVision will be next. Probably start it Sunday. I dropped Hulu last week because we weren't watching anything on it.

A couple of Wandavision episodes would totally hit your embarrassment squick. So good call.

From memory, you’re in the US, which would mean you’re missing half the content I like on Disney+. But I did find the documentary “On Pointe” quite interesting. It’s following some students at the ballet school in New York.

All the Star Wars films and series are there. I also recommend The Mandalorian which is not just excellent and loads of fun, but restored my faith in Star Wars so much that we started watching Clone Wars and Rebels (lots better than expected) and can't wait for The Mandalorian's return and its spin-offs.

I've also been catching up on the whole Marvel film canon in chronological order (must get back to that) and often come across films I loved as a kid. The original Parent Trap came up one day and we watched it - it was still great, and Greg was impressed too. I don't know if you like animated films, but all of the Pixar films are there too.

Do you like Muppets? Muppets Now.
The Mighty Ducks? Mighty Ducks Game Changers

If you haven't seen Escape to Witch Mountain, it's must watch. Kids, telepathy, telekinesis

The Cat From Outerspace (talks and has TK)

Upside Down Magic was fun.

Hamilton.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

I quite enjoyed The Secret Society of Second Born Royals

I'd suggest the Swiss Family Robinson (from the 60s) but I haven't watched it this century and I'm afraid the suck fairy came for it

Don't forget 'Piper' if you haven't already seen it. And rewatch if you have, because it can stand many rewatches.
