What can I say? It seems so much worse because I know some people in the UK, yet have absolutely no way of knowing whether they are okay or not, so I just try not to think about it...
I didn't know anything about it until I happened to turn on the TV to check whether today's recording of Doctor Who turned out okay, and there it was, live coverage of police and ambulances via sattelite.
What does it say that my second thought (if not my first) was not anger at the (possible) terrorists, but worry that the politicians will do even more stupid nasty anti-humanitarian things in response? Maybe because I know it's pointless to be angry? Terrorists can't be reasoned with, they can't be killed without spawning ten more glory-loving would-be martyrs in their place... maybe it's another one of those things I don't want to think about.
