Ouch!

Status report: hopping around with a case of "policeman's foot". Don't know how it happened, but woke up on Tuesday with pain in heel whenever I tried to stand on it. Went to doctor's today; after prodding and poking (and causing a few yelps on my part) he diagnosed "plantar fasciitis" which is an inflamation of the ligament attached to the heel bone.

Treatment: Stay Off Foot. Preferably keep foot elevated. And anti-inflamatories. We'll see how foot is on Friday.

Weather report: hot hot hot! And destined for more of the same tomorrow, apparently. We're getting February weather in November - ugh.

So basically I ought to be staying away from computer, as foot not elevated. Though can work on laptop; now I wish I had a wireless network or a longer ethernet cable.
Entertainment therefore consists of music, books, and videos. Yesterday I read the entirity of "The Eyre Affair" which Johnathan had given me for my birthday. It was fun. One of the review snippets on the back described it as "a silly book for smart people" and that probably sums it up.
Today I started reading "Devlin's Luck" by (i forget and the book is at the other end of house, not going to get it) and I'm about half-way through, but I feel like a break from it.
Oh it's so hot.
I listened to the "Idea of North" album on my new setup in my room, while lying on my bed, and I almost fell asleep. Lovely music though.
