If you give me one or more titles of stories I didn't write (optional: characters or other details) I'll give you a summary of the nonexistent story.

I don't think I could really ever write a People story, though.

Was that The People, no different flesh. That was the one I read when I first started working in libraries in 1972 and grabbed it when it was discarded because of low issues in 1974,some people have no taste. I had to wait 5 years before I got hold of Holding Wonder and I've never tracked down any others in the UK but hopefully they are all in the first one

It has a lovely cover. At the top, a deep midnight/twilight blue sky. Then in the background, rugged mountain/canyon brown.
In the foreground, what looks like, at first glance, a girl in blue checked gingham sitting on a weathered wooden fence, holding a candle. Then you do a double-take, because the fence is broken and she's actually sitting on air. And she isn't holding a candle, she's making the air glow...
Really nice cover.

You'd be much better off getting Ingathering
which I've just looked at amazon.com and they have it for US$25. Especially since it appears to be more complete than "The People Collection", since, comparing its table of contents with my book, it has two stories in it that I don't have.
Which just demonstrates that I am not a Real Fan, since I don't wish to buy a whole new book from overseas (and a hardback -- I prefer paperbacks) just for two stories and a chronology.
