If you give me one or more titles of stories I didn't write (optional: characters or other details) I'll give you a summary of the nonexistent story.

You are the first person I've met that knows the People stories. I've got the books burried amongst my collection somewhere.

And you're right, it is a perfect title for a story about them.

came across a "collected People stories" paperback

Was that The People, no different flesh. That was the one I read when I first started working in libraries in 1972 and grabbed it when it was discarded because of low issues in 1974,some people have no taste. I had to wait 5 years before I got hold of Holding Wonder and I've never tracked down any others in the UK but hopefully they are all in the first one

I've seen that one on Amazon for £85 would you believe so I don't think I will be buying it.

I saw Ingathering on Amazon UK for a reasonable price. I must dig out my books and compare contents to see if it is reasonable for me to buy.

I know them! I adored them as a teenager.

I was in my 20s when I first discovered them and fell hook line and sinker. I must find my copies and see if they are as good as I remember them.
