Finish-a-thon progress

Well, I did get quite a huge amount done on the weekend, though not quite as much as I'd hoped.
Wordcount: 13389

Now I have the very last scene to completely rewrite (I'd done a version of it at the start, to know what I was working towards). This is the point at which the pigs are flapping their wings, gently dancing in the breeze, gambolling in the air and turning somersaults above the reader's head. If I can pull it off. "You, too, will believe that a pig can fly!"

And then this hastily written rubbish will go to the betas.

It's more than three times as long as mine! Which I've just sent off to beta. *does the happy dance of completed fic*

Oh good, that means you'll be free to beta mine! (evil grin)

Yep! Well, I'll need to fiddle with mine, probably, when it comes back, and there's this stupid Doctor Who fic I'm gonna have to write to get it out of my head, but I should have time this week, yes. :)

I need you to tell me what South-West USA looks like.

Something I'm actually competent in! Yay!

That should give you time to beta before yours comes back, maybe. (Kathryn remembers that it is rather long) Perhaps.

I might have some time to look at it at work. Shouldn't be a problem, if you don't want anything too in-depth.

You mean you actually are going to write Nine/Romana?

I'm writing it now! It's rather pointless, but I'm hoping it'll make them shut up and leave me alone.

(though not so happy if you actually do make it mpreg, that is just too wierd)

I never said it was mpreg! Just that it involves a baby. Man, I really have gotten a reputation, if people are jumping to these sorts of conclusions. :)

Oh, I know, but someone in that thread was trying to persuade you to make it so, and I wasn't sure if you'd listen,

The very idea makes my brain hurt, and not in the good way. Heck, I can't even bring myself to make it fpreg. :)

I had a couple of potentially very long ones (like the 'Lightning Bolt AU') which I'm rather glad I didn't have to write. Yet. Mind you, if that one had won, it would have been quite fun.

If you're sensible about what you put on the list, anyway. :)

[identity profile] astrogirl2.livejournal.com 2006-01-23 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
And an excellent moral it is, too. :)

Although in my case it may not have been a bad thing. I'm not sure how well that story came out, but I think it's at least kind of interesting, and I'd never have written it otherwise. Not in a zillion years. :)

I must get mine finished so I can check it and pack it off to you. This is beginning to feel like work...

[identity profile] astrogirl2.livejournal.com 2006-01-23 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
Aww. Well, it'll be over soon. :)

Eeep! :)
