Finish-a-thon progress

Well, I did get quite a huge amount done on the weekend, though not quite as much as I'd hoped.
Wordcount: 13389

Now I have the very last scene to completely rewrite (I'd done a version of it at the start, to know what I was working towards). This is the point at which the pigs are flapping their wings, gently dancing in the breeze, gambolling in the air and turning somersaults above the reader's head. If I can pull it off. "You, too, will believe that a pig can fly!"

And then this hastily written rubbish will go to the betas.

Wow, that's twice as long as mine! I'm closing in on the end too. [relieved sigh]

I got fed up with it last night and did some GIMPing. Your method of outlining text was easy to follow, but didn't give me the 1-pixel crisp outline I wanted. It comes out like a 2-3 pixel cloud. Do I need to change some settings? I googled and found another method I'm going to experiment with today when I get a chance.

Hey, at least you're almost done. I am soooo stuck on something I should have figured out before I actually started writing the darn thing. *whimper*

In fact, I should be offline right now, and working on it.
