No Gifting

(sigh)

It looks like the consensus that NOBODY will want a pink and black rug. So I shall have to rip it up and do something else.

(sigh)

Well, I suppose it's a learning experience.

Do you have any teenage/pre-teen girls on your gift list? Both my daughters (15 and 9) would go into paroxysms of joy over a pink and black rug. I am just barely preventing them from covering their rooms in pink and black zebra stripes.

Is it the kind of rug that you can put on your floor?

Don't people in the tropics use floor rugs?

You couldn't keep it for yourself?

Etsy? :-) It's a nice colour combo.

Oh, that's too bad. Any chance you can donate it to a charity of some sort?

*whistles* wouldn't say no...

Why do you need to rip it up? If it's pretty and makes you happy, finish it. It could end up being a charity raffle or auction item, or find an unexpected home. I wouldn't give it to someone as a gift unless I knew they wanted that color, is all.

You could even sell it on etsy!

I wouldn't rip it up because you might find someone who would love it or you could use it yourself.

what reynardo said. there are definitely people who would appreciate that rug, just not the ones on your present gift list.

If you don't want to sell it, you could gift it to someone who would appreciate it.

PS Is there a way to ask the potential recipients if they like the colour combination, without giving the game away.

PPS If any of them has a pet and the rug is soft and fluffy there would be one happy recipient, who would care more for texture than colour.
