Just a note to say, yes, I am back home -- and my friend Joan gave me a cold! So I am tired and sick, and I am torn between falling asleep in my bed, and forcing myself to stay awake so that my body-clock gets re-synched properly. And I'm supposed to be writing my RemixRedux story! Arrrrgggghhh!

Ugh. Ugh. Blah. Ugh.

Now that I have proved I can do it, there are a number of reasons why I think I'll just rest on my laurels and not travel any further away than New Zealand from now on...

I know how you feel. Greg has a trip to Germany coming up and I used to live there. I really want to go too but I hate flying that far so much I may very well not. It's 24 hours of fear (just at take-off and landing and flying over Afghanistan), boredom, discomfort, and the sort of claustrophobia I get when squashed next to strangers (I usually sit on the aisle at the cinema). Is it worth it, I ask myself.

It's not just the actual travelling, it's that... it took me about a week to acclimatize, sleep-wize, with the different weather and lack of a humidifier; and if one is suffering from not-so-good sleep, all the little niggly things like living out of a suitcase just get to one more, because one has less energy.

New Zealand is still on my list as (a) it is much closer, (b) it has the same power (c) prices are much more reasonable (d) there are people there I want to visit (hint, hint)

Ooh! We have a spare room, all ready for you! And three cats if you don't mind furry cuddles (though they won't bother you at night). I'll give you a link to some pics of where we live when I get home. :-)

Whee, this sounds like a wonderful idea! I love furry cuddles. And I think I have seen the pics from an earlier link from one of your entries.

So, yes, definitely, let's do this -- but not soon, as (a) money and (b) time off are somewhat short at the moment. But in a year or two, yes, please?
