Doctor Who 6x09: Night Terrors

I think that was supposed to be scary. Emphasis on the supposed to.

Well, the people turning into wooden dolls was scary, I have to grant that.

But "Fear Her" (so terribly similar) was scarier, though the resolution of "Fear Her" was silly. The resolution of "Night Terrors" was a better idea; however, it would have been better altogether if it had been more convincing. The father goes from "What? He's an alien?" with an expression of horror/disgust, to five seconds later rescuing the boy from extremely slow-moving giant wooden dolls? It was pretty lame. A good idea, but poorly executed.

I suppose it didn't help that as soon as Amy and Rory discovered that the copper pot was made of wood, I figured that they were in a doll's house. Which rather ruined any air of mystery in it for me.

Eleven was very good, though. He reminded me again of a Primary School teacher.
